Reflecting On Your 2020 Goals And Achievements

What a year it has been! 2020 has thrown many twists and turns our way and has kept us on our toes. This year might not have gone as originally planned, but many lessons have been learned. The world has acknowledged the importance of holding your loved ones a little closer every night and has supported each other through these tough times. The pandemic has not been easy for everyone, but many have grown stronger from this experience and have realized how resilient they truly are. As the year comes to a close, it is necessary to reflect upon our 2020 goals and achievements as well as our failures. Learning from the past can allow for you to gain more insight on how to approach the future. That is what is so great about a new year. It is the perfect time for growth, but you cannot grow without self-reflection.

The only way to reflect on this past year is by asking yourself questions on how you have succeeded and failed. Do not be afraid to address your shortcomings this year and ask yourself some hard questions. Learning from your mistakes is the best way to improve yourself in the future. The first step is to write down the main goals you set for yourself this year and indicate if you have achieved them or not. Make sure you also write out all of your accomplishments throughout 2020. This is a good step for you to reflect upon yourself this year and help prepare you for the resolutions you will make for 2021. If you are struggling to think of how to approach this topic, here are a few questions to ask yourself to make the process easier:

Questions To Ask Yourself As You Reflect Upon Your 2020 Goals And Achievements

  • What is the most important lesson you have learned this year?
  • What is one goal you accomplished this year?
  • Are you surrounding yourself with people who are positive influences?
  • What advice would you give to yourself a year ago?
  • What is one goal you did not accomplish this year
  • How are you going to improve yourself this upcoming year?
  • How have you adapted to the different challenges you have experienced this year?

Though this is a challenging process, it is important to be honest with yourself in order to make improvements and take steps towards becoming the best version of yourself in 2021.
